I've noticed a trend with our clientele lately, and I don't much like where it is headed. In the last couple of weeks I have had clients call at the last minute for changes in schedule.... some of them same day, other clients have "forgotten" that it was their day to be cleaned and left doors locked, forgot to have a method of payment available, etc..., and then to top it all off, last week we were cleaning a house that is always shitty to begin with, but then when the girls were half way through they found a whole stash of lice killing shampoo, furniture and bedding spray, etc...... Yep. The house was infested with lice and the client "forgot"to tell us. The girls were skeeved out after finding it and left right away. Unfortunately, they had been bitten by then and I had to seriously disinfect all the towels they had been using there, & the car they drove in! Holy hell people!! How freaking disrespectful is that?!?

I know, I know.... being the housekeepers, we strive to clean for our clients without disturbing them. We try to be noticed for our quality, not, say, a loud talker, or a crazily dressed worker, or even a BAD job..... We really want just the clean house to be what the client remembers most. Still, I would hope that the clients remember that it is a living, breathing person doing the job. When we're treated like less than nothing, it tends to sting a little. From turning off the A/C in the high heat of summer to trying to heap on tons of extra work wit out telling us ahead of time, the disrespect is starting to pile up. The lice thing was the last straw. Can we say "EEEEEWWWWWWW!!!!!!"

I'm not saying shower us with gifts and flowers, but at least kick the air on for when we're there. It's the least you can do for the people who know aaaaaaaallllllllll your dirty little secrets.

Heh, heh. It's always good to "know" things.
