The Grind.

It happens every month. Like clockwork, I start to feel the grinding in my joints, almost like there is sand in between my bones. I feel the grinding every time I move. Each little step aches. I'm lucky it only happens when Aunt Flo swings by for a visit, but this time is the worst so far. I'm attributing this to the fact that the storm that is currently menacing the mid south right now will be rolling this way. Yeah, yeah.... I feel the weather when it's coming this way.

So I basically started Saturday by sleeping in till 10am, riding with HHH to get a mediocre breakfast at Waffle House, then we came back home where I cleaned the shit hole that was my children's bathroom.Man, I never knew 3 kids could make such a mess! I had enough get up and go for that bathroom and then my kitchen before the pain got the best of me and I had to stop. After resting for a bit, HHH and I had to run up to the local Wall to Wall Mart to get some fresh veggies to roast on the grill. As we're riding up there, we slowed and stopped for a red light. Just as it turns green HHH goes to hit the gas and something popped and the bike lurched forward violently! I, just as violently, lurched forward boobs first into HHH's back.

P-A-I-N!!

Lot's of it. Aunt Flo has my bosom feeling a bit tetchy. (that is so a word!) Let's just say I'm not gonna be sleeping on my stomach any time soon.

So now I am medicating myself liberally with booze and Tylenol, watching TV and hoping the people of Mississippi are holding strong after the tornadoes that have blown away parts of their state! I made the comment on Twitter that Yazoo Cityt MS was blown away so where was Ray Stevens going to sing about now? Yeah.... not seeming so funny right about now. Stay strong people, and on a lighter note, I hope everyone is having a totally awesome time at Beerher, Sillybring, and Tequilacon. I'll raise a glass to you as I sit in my comfy recliner with my cranberry/vodka.

In conclusion, the breakdown here is pain, bad weather, and alcohol.

Sounds like a good weekend to me!

I love the way you cope with pain! Sounds like a good Rx :) and one whose effectiveness I can surely attest to!

I can't say this is your situation, but I thought I had arthritis or fibromyalgia when I lived with my ex-husband in a VERY stressful situation. When we divorced and I moved out on my own I suddenly became almost pain-free.

I'm not saying you need to get divorced (NO, not even a little), but I do know you have a LOT of sources of stress and they might maybe be contributing to the pain.

I also don't know what you're using for birth control if anything, but maybe you need a same-dosed pill instead of a variable-dosed pill.

Or, don't listen to me at all. :) I don't mind either way. I hope wrestling is good tonight!
