GET LOST!...in a book!

Here is what every parent dreams about...... Your kid reading a big ole book instead of being plopped down in front of the TV, computer, game station, etc.......
This is my daughter, Rebecca, wading through the Half Blood Prince, which will be out in theaters November 21st, right before her birthday. I see a trip to the theaters for her birthday.....

Love it or hate it but Harry Potter has been the best thing to happen to children's literature in YEARS. Those books make kids want to read and that is SO important, imo.

I have always been a vociferous (i just like that word) reader. I read all the time and am usually in the middle of 2 or 3 books.

But I'm always surprised by the people I come in contact with that just don't enjoy reading.

I'm with Lady Jaye. All three of my kids love reading, and at least for my twins it started with H.P.
I also don't get people who don't like reading. I feel sorry for them, they don't know what they're missing.

I would of said "voracious reader," but I'm just a cafeteria worker/PE teacher... Great books- read them all at least twice... nOw excuse me while I go play Call of Duty with Russ. Video games rule!

Just like me!!! I never got in trouble for games, phone, TV, etc....just for reading when I was supposed to be asleep and reading in class. LOL! I haven't quit , either! One of the best things in life, and I am excited that Katie loves books already, too!
